Leo 'The Lion' Dale Darts Shirt Design

Leo Dale is a superstar in the making - This is how Leo playing darts against Luke Littler ended with his own personal darts shirt design

I first met Leo and his mum (Kara the Lioness) at Armageddon XL

Leo was the lucky winner of a chance to play his hero LUKE 'THE NUKE' LITTLER on the main stage - Leo loves his darts and like many kids Littler is the man who got him into the sport. Leo even arrived at the show in his NUKE playing shirt

Winning the auction - Leo had his own professional walk on and got to step onto the main stage and play a leg against the back to back World Champion

For the walk on - because I know the tech team, we managed to make Leo a quick logo and get it on the big screens and walk way (which you can see in the video) and as an added extra we decided to let Leo's mum know and would send it to him

Leo BEAT Littler on stage too!

Designing the Shirt

Leo is an active Tiktokker and regualrly posts about his darting journey and was particularly active and axcited about his Armageddon Experience - this lead to Leo contacting me and following up on the logo

I decided to edit the logo and improve it - which I sent over to Kara - and this lead to the conversation about a bespoke shirt.

Designing the shirt was a lot of fun - the Lion motif and gold and black colourways set the tone straight away - and the black to gold fade was a classy backing.

But as this is for a young man AND it needs to set the tone for him to go ahead and defeat all his opponants on the stage.

I added claw marks across the shoulders and an outline of a roaring lion onto the body

combined with Leo's sponsors and new logo in the breast

On the back I also added the Ipswich Town logo!

A nice simple, but effective design that I hope Leo wears to much much more success In his darting life!
