Editing a book - and doing it in secret!

On 7th May 2022 my dear Mam Celia Wraith passed away aged 70 after another battle with Cancer. Mam was very creative and tried her hand at many things including poetry. She encouraged me to do the same. She never shared her poetry but did say that when she passed that I could 'do with it what i saw fit.' So with the help of one of my daughters we have put together and printed 100 copies of this book for you to buy. All profits will go to Age UK North Tyneside Dementia. Thanks for your support.

I have been working Steve Wraith for a few years now and there are always unique opportunities with him

This book arrived from the Wriath family and Steve and his daughter are putting Steve's late mother's poetry into print and on sale to raise money for Age UK North Tyneside

As in the quote above, Steve's mother enjoyed writing poetry and whilst it was a hobby of hers - They are making their way into the public with this wonderful book all for a wonderful cause

This is the third book I have ever edited and its a job I enjoy doing, and would like to continue doing it. However i felt it was important in thise case to NOT attach my name to it

The only reason I am writing a blog on it - is because this site is my portfolio / CV and I believe in the charity (and no one will read this!)

The cover was designed by Steve's Daughter, the poems all by his mother and the rest of the work all by Steve. It was even put together by Steve's Daughter - this the chapters, the order of the poems and everything else all put together in a perfect order

Steve asked me to edit the book and get it ready for the print etc - so it was perfect for sale and in tribute to his mother.

Three generations of the Wraith family all coming together to create this piece of art -

The last thing it needs is my name on it - so I took zero credit within the book

All I am putting this out there for - Is for CV purposes only

and i will be buying the book
