Creating a custom Darts shirt for Scott Brookes - to play in against Luke Littler at Face / Off 2026

It started as a normal shirt request - Scott Brookes emailed me asking for me to create a custom shirt for him to wear at Face/Off 2026. His plan was to wear a shirt based around the events poster, with all the pro players on that he could get signed after the show.

MDA and MODUS exhibitions often offer the chance for the best local amatuer darts players to take on the proffesionals in their home town - and Scott got the call up for Face/Off in Derby

To this day I dont know if Scott knew I designed the Face/Off posters and graphics - but it was a real positive that I had the assest to hand and just had to convert them to a wearable shirt design that Scott was happy with

Step one was speaking with Scott to get an idea of what he had in his mind for the shirt to look like - and he was keen that the back was the area that had the main images on - being as this was the area that most people would be seeing when he was on stage

After design one - we discussed the details - and added Scotts name, local darts club (on the chest) and his logo to the design (on the sleeve)

Then we discussed whether the finished design should have the image of Scott amongst the pros or not?

As it was a specific shirt for Scott, and to celebrate the fact he had this huge opportunity - we both felt putting his image on the shirt was right - and it filled the space nicely!

With the final deisgn agreed - I got the shirt made and sent to Scott. It was at this time MDA / MODUS asked me to create the match graphics and running order for the Social media posts and big screens

It was here I discovered something that Scott had kept to himself - Maybe he assumed I knew - but Scott wanted this shirt to wear playing against LUKE THE NUKE LITTLER.

The champion of the world, the teenage darting prodigy, the man credited with breathing life back into the sport

This match was HUGE for Scott and no wonder he wanted to mark the occasion with a custom shirt

It was at this point Scotts shirt arrived - and it was too small!! We had a week to get the correct size to him within the week! There was no room for error and a very tight deadline!

This was a shirt that woudl only be used once and was for a VERY special occasion in Scotts Darting career

Nothing like pressure! But against all odds I managed to get a second shirt for Brookes and he got to wear it on stage in Derby, against the champion of the world!

Scott eventually lost 3-2 to the World Champion - which in itself is amazing and worth the panic and the stress it was to get this right and delivered on time!

Scott is now booked for Armageddon 2026 - and I already know his opponent - so IF you are reading this Scott and want an Armageddon shirt for next year - lets not make them same mistake twice, and maybe this time you can beat the pro
